Join the Chorus!

The Schoodic Summer Chorus is a multi-generational a capella community chorus devoted to nurturing musicianship and community, in residence at Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor, Maine. Its members share a passion for singing beautiful and unusual music. Directed by singer and composer Anna Dembska, the chorus is open to anyone who loves to sing.

2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the Chorus, and we'll be celebrating with a program titled, Life is But a Dream. Click here to see what we'll be singing.

We'll be performing at Hammond Hall to open the Schoodic Arts Festival on August 1, and at the Cape Split Chapel in Addison on Thursday, August 25.

Cost

The Schoodic Summer Chorus is primarily supported by membership dues, but we want everyone who wants to sing to be able to join us. Membership fee is $120 (this level covers the cost of running the chorus). If you can't afford the regular dues, we have full and partial scholarships for those who need them.

If you can afford it, please consider paying more than $120 to help subsidize those who need to pay less.

Commitment

We ask that you miss no more than two rehearsals, and make sure you come to the final three rehearsals (July 26, 28 and 30). If you really want to sing with us, but have scheduling problems, please contact Anna Dembska.
