Join the Chorus!
The Schoodic Summer Chorus is a multi-generational a capella community chorus devoted to nurturing musicianship and community, in residence at Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor, Maine. Its members share a passion for singing beautiful and unusual music. Directed by singer and composer Anna Dembska, the chorus is open to anyone who loves to sing.
In 2012 we'll be singing about Hard Times. The music promises to be fun, interesting, and beautiful, and I hope you'll be joining us on May 22 at Hammond Hall for our first rehearsal. The repertoire will be listed here as I get it together.
We'll open the Schoodic Arts Festival on Monday, July 30, at 7 p.m. at Hammond Hall. We may also have additional performances at the Cape Split Chapel and Milbridge in mid-August.

Cost
The Schoodic Summer Chorus is primarily supported by membership dues, but we want everyone who wants to sing to be able to join us. Membership fee is $120 (this level covers the cost of running the chorus). If you can't afford the regular dues, we have full and partial scholarships for those who need them.
If you can afford it, please consider paying more than $120 to help subsidize those who need to pay less.
Commitment
We ask that you miss no more than two rehearsals, and make sure you come to the final three rehearsals (July 24, 26 and 28). If you really want to sing with us, but have scheduling problems, please don't hesitate to contact Anna Dembska.
